Extraordinary pools and great location!

The location of this resort cannot be beat, especially if you are visiting both the Brazil & Argentinian side of the Falls. The hotel made for a great location to relax after the many mikes of walking the excursion days can take. The food was great but what makes this hotel special are the 2 pools: one seemingly nestled below the forest vibes that makes you feel like you are swimming in the jungle (perfect given the natural wonder of the falls) and the second (my favorite) that gives you the most peaceful high up view of the river and Brazil from the comfort of the pool. The drinks (particularly the caipirinhas) were the cherry on the cake.

Structure 10 Very Improveable Facilities

We stayed with a couple of friends on the last weekend of August 2024. The structure, perfectly integrated into nature, looks impressive, as expected from a 5-star structure.
However, the quality of the services is not up to the structure: lights do not work in the bedroom bathroom, double bed formed by two beds close together, the quality of the food is not excellent, the impossibility to move except with Taxi Trips.
However, the beauty of the place, combined with the courtesy of the staff, still allows you to achieve a very good score.
A commendation for Ugo, the taxi driver, and the waitress at Naipi Restaurant, Fadua Ramirez.

Lovely hotel undone by unloveable food

I loved the look and feel of this hotel -- it was like being in the midst of the rainforest, and yet enjoying all the comforts. I liked my spacious room. The staff was helpful. My massage at the spa was not fancy, but it was relaxing and inexpensive. The adults-only pool area, overlooking the Iguazu River between Argentina and Brazil, is a delight, both in the water and out. Drinks were good. And yet, I could never stay again at the Loi Suites Iguazu, nor could I ever recommend it anyone I didn't hate, and that comes down to one reason: the food. The awful, overpriced, inexplicable and inexcusable food. Every meal here was worse than the prior one. Unseasoned steak. Undressed salad. Overcooked burgers. Overcooked fish (geez, overcooked doesn't really even capture the horrors perpetrated on that poor, defenseless surubi). The haphazard service didn't help, but they could have been the best waitstaff in the world and it wouldn't have made up for the slop they're passing off as dinner at any of the restaurants (and by the way, there's clearly a central kitchen, so why the pretense of even having separate menus for different locations). The only thing I ever encountered at this resort worth eating were the genuinely yummy fish croquettes. But when I recommended my travel companions should also order some, they were told the restaurant had run out (at 1 pm!), so I felt like I'd steered them wrong. I can't imagine why a hotel this nice, in a location this lovely, has food service this poor, but unfortunately that remote location comes with a price -- it's not as if you can walk down the street to another restaurant, because you're in the middle of the freaking jungle. Sigh -- what a disappointment, because in every other way, this hotel is a find.

Disappointing Stay at a Promising Location

We stayed at Loi Suites Iguazú after a long journey, hoping for a relaxing escape. The setting is undeniably beautiful, nestled in the jungle near the falls—but that’s where the charm ends.
Lunch at the Tiki Bar was inedible: cold spaghetti, a rubbery burger, and slow service. Though staff were apologetic and comped the meal, the overall experience didn’t improve much. Room was spacious but poorly lit, lacked bedside power points, and the bathroom was outdated and in need of serious refurbishment.
The resort heavily relies on QR codes and WhatsApp for everything—meaning you must carry your phone constantly. The spa wouldn’t let us take a treatment menu to browse, and most activities required app access. I attempted a guided walk but the guide didn’t speak English, and the short walk was cut even shorter due to a forecasted rain that never came.
Dinner at the main restaurant was a highlight—well-cooked steak and great service—but a second dinner was let down by undercooked pink chicken and a $100 bill for a basic meal I didn’t eat.
This resort is not five-star. It’s tired, inconsistent, and lacks attention to detail. Iguazú Falls, however, is spectacular—just find another place to stay. If this place was a horse I’d shoot it to put it out of its misery
