Well located and relaxing

Lovely informal hotel. Comfortable bed, large room. Bungalow style. Had an impressive view of Arenal. Short walk to the centre of La Fortuna (c. 7 minutes) and there was a nice outdoor mexican bar that became our local between the town centre and the hotel. Breakfast was probably the poorest we had in Costa Rica in terms of selection and quality but it was fine and we didn't starve!!! They also had a small pool.....we didn't use it but it was a very pleasant set-up overall.

A stunning location

We stayed here for two nights as part of our Discover Costa Rica tour. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Air con is provided in the rooms. Hanging space in the bathroom is not ideal due to dampness. Safe is provided. Lovely grounds with lots of birdlife. Swimming pool and towels provided.

Comfy lodges but could be nicer

Basic lodges set in wonderful gardens - they could be so much nicer! We were only here for a couple of night and the lodges are comfy but lack any real attention to detail, such as only one side light for beds, otherwise you had to have a big overhead strip light on to read. Shelving for clothes is in the bathroom which means they can feel damp in the rainy season. No drinking glasses for the bathroom which meant we had to borrow some from the restaurant. Very basic breakfast with no bread other than white sliced toasting kind. Nowhere to sit other than on the lodge's balcony. A very cold pool with very limited seating and just hard chairs. The gardens are beautiful and we had humming birds feeding just beside us and there is a great view of the Arenal Volcano. Easy walk into town for restaurants - try out Soda Rodrigurez just about 5 minutes walk away. Wonderful quirky restaurant with a great atmosphere, serving traditional menu - family run out of a tiny kitchen.

Honestly i feel they should provide wifi in each room. For Wifi you need to go to the reception area or the restaurant area.
The rooms are small for a family of 4 but very clean. The Washrooms were good and spacious. They could provide a place to place our soap and shampoos.

Everything really nice

Nice complex with simple wooden cabins, just outside of La Fortuna.
Location: Located a few hundred meters outside of La Fortuna and yet you are quickly on foot at Parque Central. The cabins are spread over a beautifully planted area with views of the volcano. Breakfast area in an open building. Pool available.
Rooms: Simple but cozy and sufficiently large wooden cabins. Plenty of storage space, mini fridge and a large bathroom with walk-in open shower. AC available. No WiFi (this is only available at reception). Small private terrace in front of the cottage. Overall everything was sufficiently clean. Beds are comfortable.
Breakfast: Clear and more or less good. As usual, a little fruit, rice, scrambled eggs, coffee, watery juice and tea.
