Great location with spactacular views

Spacious rooms (in the old section facing the parking lot) with great bathrooms and views of the museum area and church. I also stayed a few days in the less luxurious part with smaller rooms and single beds.
There is a small outdoor Arctic spa with wonderful view over the inlet.
Breakfast is great (also the muxox burger), very friendly and helpful staff.

Wish we had stayed at one of the other hotels from the start

My husband and I stayed with another couple in their apartment on the fourth floor. It was nice, clean, and had all we needed. The sled dogs were across a small street and howled all night. The temperature was
comfortable with the window open but stuffy with them completely closed. The dog noise kept us up most of the night. The staff was sweet and accommodating except for the woman in charge. She was annoying and not helpful at all. Our flight was delayed two days and we re-located to the Best Western. Soooooooo much better. I wish we had never stayed at Soma. There are a few better options in this small town. I would not stay here again

Warm welcome in cold surroundings with helpful staff

After a winter mountain stay of 12 days on the Artic Circle Trail, we were received with smiles and helpfulness for storing and transporting all our gear. Cozy restaurant, good food, nice decor and soft beds made it a lovely place

Good sized, clean room with comfy bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Cafeteria style restaurant with ok food. Would have been nice to have a few more options at breakfast. Good location in center of town.

Cozy meetingpoint and hotel

Sisimiut is one of the most charming places we visited in Greenland. The Soma hotel is right in the middle of the historic center with the local museum. The hotel is great and a meeting point for both tourists and travelers. They build a brand new section with 20 rooms and SPA, I think. Must be amazing.
