Very nice boutique hotel in a good location

Very nice boutique hotel in a good location. Many sights within walking distance. Very attentive and friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Spacious, modern room. The glass pane between the room and bathroom takes some getting used to, but there were also curtains for privacy.

we may return - not sure yet. nice place to stay tho

um. I found the bed and the wooden surround a bit odd. the bathroom was all glass , not a lot of room to put down your make up and vanity items, and a strange drape and sheer in front of the bathroom / shower / toilet for some privacy but still no space to put down items. Also , without signing up to some promotion on line , it was over our budget but a good starting point to see wellington town. parking is a pain up til 8pm and then you have to go move your car or plug the meter again at 8am. Food and service was great but i don't think we would stay there again.

Awesome boutique hotel stay

We were happy to get an unexpected upgrade to a beautiful room. We loved the bed, pillows and 1970s decor.
Loved the pillow menu! Loved the sea view! didn’t take advantage, but was nice there was a small cafe on site. If you want a great location, lovely staff and a quaint boutique hotel, this is it. Would love to come back.

Perfect place from which to explore Wellington

After a long drive from Rotorua, a comfortable room with a spectacular view and an equally spectacular bathtub was exactly what I needed.
The location was perfect, for both my daily itinerary and my evening swims.
The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful.
The parking situation is somewhat suboptimal, but doable.

We were able to unload our bags in the hotel's loading bay then we went and parked our car in the car park they have an arrangement with: that all worked out fine. Our room was decorated in a slightly ...whacky style. Maybe more design over substance particularly in the bathroom where more shelving would be useful for toiletry bags. I enjoyed the deep bath but feel sorry forthecleaners as it has no shower attachment on the tap to wash down the bath walls. The shower is similarly only an overhead style one. The bed could have been comfier- bit too soft and what's with an electric blanket on the bed!!! We had a very early start so didn't take breakfast there
