I stayed twice in the Eldorado hotel, before and after my 2 weeks jungle tour.
Standards are different in Iquitos and as on the first stay I was given a room without windows it felt a bit disappointing, but after the jungle, I appreciated very much the dry / cool and clean room, this time with a window and no bugs around..
The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is plenty with everything and tropical fruits and juices

The room was nice, better than many in town for almost the same price (and close to the DoubleTree for less than half the price). The desk staff all spoke English well and were very helpful. Room was in good shape, everything worked.

Very clean, spacious room. Excellent breakfast, and friendly staff. Late check-in was friendly too. The city itself isn't hugely meant for tourists, but this isn't a reflection of the quality at El Dorado Classic.

The large enclosed pool-atrium-lounge area was very nice. A good but not outstanding breakfast buffet was available.

This hotel is one big scam. To start with if you haggle with the mototaxis you can get to the airport for as low as 20 soles, so tell me why the hotel try to book you one for 55? I also had some laundry done, at the time I was told 10 soles per KG. I weighed it before handing it in, just under 5, so why was I charged 80? This hotel over charge you where they can and pocket the money, so learn some Spanish and argue your case if you stay. Overall the rooms are ok, they are clean but over priced for Peru. It’s in a good location however avoid over the weekend, it’s right above a nightclub which vibrates and pumps loud music into your room until 6am… not great. Wouldn’t stay again. But does the job for 1 night, check in to the Hilton up the road if I were you.
