Very pleasant stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights in the executive room. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception. The hotel were very kind by letting us use the car park before we checked in and allowing us to leave it there for a while after we checked out. The room was very clean, modern and we slept well with no outside noise even though we were right at the front of the hotel. There was a kettle and plenty of tea bags etc. Perfect for our short trip away and close walking distance to the BIC & town centre.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS

This has been one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. I currently live in the studio and found bed bugs. The owner tried to blame it on me and wants me to pay for the treatment, but look at the mattress and you be the judge of it. Nothing is ever fixed around here. There are cracks on the wall, the floor heating stopped working last year and I spent the entire winter without it. They gave me a portable one but it didn’t warm up the place like the floor heating. The carpet wasn’t cleaned before I moved in. The staff is rude at times and I’m trapped here until the bed bugs are sorted, because I don’t want to risk taking them with me to the next place. I’m mentally and emotionally exhausted with all this. It’s a nightmare and to top it all I’m being charged £950 monthly

Avoid the studio room - it’s not a studio and it’s barely a room

Somehow we ended up in the ‘studio’. I’d have been a bit disappointed by the standard if it was an Airbnb but as it was meant to be a hotel I was just confused. It was nothing like a hotel. You couldn’t stand up in the bedroom. Appreciate there was a picture but it doesn’t show the perspective that you can literally only stand straight in the very centre of the room. The shower and toilet were separate and downstairs in the ‘kitchen’ area. There wasn’t a handrail on the stairs. The window was a skylight so no view. There wasn’t a hairdryer. There wasn’t a wardrobe - just a crappy clothes rail. The crockery was almost non-existent. They didn’t provide a tea towel and when I asked I was given a dishcloth. There was a scouring sponge for washing up but it was old and manky. I mean, they cost like 10p each and they couldn’t stretch to a new one? The microwave was from the ark. The bedside light didn’t work and despite them replacing the bulb it still didn’t work. The table upstairs was so wobbly we daren’t put anything on it. The carpet was dirty. It was just really strange it was sold as a hotel room when it clearly isn’t.
There were some positives - The bed was comfortable. And we had a great time but that was despite the accommodation.
It just shouldn’t be sold as a hotel room because it isn’t. It’s behind and above a garage at the end of the car park next to the dustbins. Nice

Bed bugs BEWARE!

One of the worst nights this year! Stayed at this hotel Tuesday night and was greeted by bed bugs 1am in the morning!!! Disgusting and the gentleman who helped me move rooms was hasty and rude! Emailed asking for a full refund no response from management! Avoid if you want an itch free night!!!

Overpriced.

Stayed here as a base for a couple of nights as went to see Jack Whitehall at the BIC as a birthday present from my husband.
When we arrived and checked in we were expecting a large room with an en suite as paid a bit extra but told we were staying in the converted garage at the end of the drive so didn't see any of the hotel!
The location was good and the staff were friendly but that was about it.
Overpriced for what it was. Absolute joke. Tiny little area downstairs to make a drink. Tiny shower and toilet with cheap table right next to the toilet. Very hygienic!
Upstairs is a double bed with one skylight. No room again to move as there is another table right in the way. You have to crouch all the time or you end up banging your head.
We definitely won't be going back. My tip to other people - avoid at all costs!!
