Hidden Treasure

Professional and welcoming staff. Our room was beautiful and spacious. It is Dog Friendly, perfect for my Yorkie. Check in was seamless, Amenities were excellent . Plenty of parking, many restaurants in the area. I highly recommend The George.

Lovely hotel in a town that needs more good places to stay! Staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. A few small kinks to be worked out: no hooks for robes or towels in bathroom; shallow, slow-draining sink; no bedside power plugs. But clean, nice, quiet - definitely top pick in Montclair.

Nice hotel. Room was 57 degrees so we were graciously moved to a warmer room. Lily at the front desk was absolutely lovely.

Pretty average hotel, nothing fancy. When you consider the price, thats pretty disappointing. We booked this hotel because we were going on vacation and wanted something a little better than the usual hotels we’ve stayed at and this was not that. It was a more expensive price tag for a usual hotel experience. Also we found the decor choice of having celebrity photos literally everywhere in our room, a bit off-putting. Breakfast was also put out late several times during our stay, we’d go down for breakfast (at least 10 minutes after the time they said breakfast would be, mind you) and only half would be out. The staff was friendly though which we appreciated.

The George never disappoints. The staff are terrific and little details in decor and service make the stay special. Amazing location as well— can walk to bars, restaurants and shops.
