We needed to stay near RI hospital. Surprisingly close. The rooms were large clean and very comfortable. They were able to accommodate a very late check out being very sensitive and caring to our reason for being there. Lou at the bar was friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the highway side but the room was quiet and room darkening shades allowed us to sleep though the morning.

Dirty and dated

Lots of issues from terrible front desk service to dirty room (filthy couch, sock left in pullout couch, rugs are filthy and old (why rugs?? ) , perfume smell throughout to mask a mildew smell.
Breakfast confusing. FD was short with answers and not helpful at all.

Definition of Customer Service

I have been to a few hotels around the world for the past 35 years, past IHG Ambassador, Current Hilton Diamond and Current Bonvoy Titanium. This Hotel is by far one of the best experiences I have had in those years. I ranked it the same as I had at Waldorf Astoria in New York some 20 years ago. This hotel is 5 star based on the experiences I have had on every visit there. I believe I stayed about 3 times for the month of January and will stay here as long as I am in Providence. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is great but the difference is the the staff. They are amazing. Every single staff member I dealt with has been amazingly courteous, friendly and professional. My dates and times of check in and check outs vary and they have made every attempt to keep my business . I am no one special. Just a paying customer but kudos for management to hire such a tremendous group. While I can only name Jason, the others whose names alludes me were equal..

Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. My issues were parking and breakfast. they didn’t say that you had to pay for parking which was $15/night and they had muffins, bagels and coffee for breakfast. If you needed anything else, you had to pay for it. As a guest at the hotel, paying for parking was not appropriate. I would definitely find another hotel for my next trip to Providence

My stay was pleasant and the staff were friendly. Considering the hotel cost, charging continental breakfast and picking separately wasn’t my expectation.
Overall, it was very satisfying.
